Glass Steel Portable Barcol Hardness Tester Copper Aluminum 0

1. Overview:

The Barcol hardness tester is an indentation type hardness tester. It is fast, simple, and easy to test. It can be used to quickly test the hardness of aluminum and aluminum alloy materials and meet the American standard ASTM B648.

2. Use:

The Barcol hardness tester is mainly used to test the hardness of aluminum and aluminum alloys. It can also test the hardness of other soft metals and glass steel products. Can test a variety of oversized, ultra-wide, ultra-thick workpieces and assemblies, testing plates, strips, profiles, forgings, castings and so on.

The W-20 Webster Hardness Tester, widely used in the aluminum processing industry, is suitable for most aluminum alloys. For grades of super-hard aluminum alloys such as 2024 and 7075, W-B75 type Webster hardness tester or Barcol hardness tester can be used. For pure aluminum, low hardness aluminum alloys, particularly thick aluminum alloys, and other aluminum workpieces that are inconvenient to use the Webster hardness tester, a Barcol hardness tester should be used.

The Barcol hardness tester is generally used as a supplement to the Webster hardness tester. It is used when testing pure aluminum, low-hardness aluminum alloys, and large and super-thick materials.

3. Advantage:

*Small size, light weight (510g), easy to carry.

* One-handed operation, no need to use experience, in any case, can be tested as long as it can be reached.

* Wide test range. From very soft pure aluminum to particularly hard aluminum alloys, the effective test range is equivalent to Brinell hardness 25~135HB.

* High sensitivity. The Webster hardness tester only has 20 scales, while the Barcol hardness tester has 100 scales and has higher sensitivity.

* The Barcol hardness tester is only tested on one side of the sample and does not require support. It is suitable for testing large and extra-thick workpieces and assemblies.

* Easy to convert. The hardness values of Brinell, Rockwell, Vickers, and Webster can be obtained through the conversion table.
